Climate Garnaut (CANBERRA)

The interim report of the Garnaut Review on climate change says Australia should commit
itself this year .. to a 2020 greenhouse target.

The report's executive summary says there should be a firm commitment to 2020 and 2050
emissions targets .. similar to those accepted by other developed countries.

It says some version of the current state and federal targets of 60 per cent reduction
by 2050 .. with appropriate interim targets .. would meet these …
