Qld: Girl missing in north Queensland

BRISBANE, Dec 24 AAP - Police and family members hold fears for the safety a 16-year-old
north Queensland girl missing for two days.

Patricia Haevecker was last seen at 2pm (AEST) on Friday as she walked south across
the Bowen River Bridge on Bowen Road at Annandale in Townsville.

She was wearing black jeans, a pink or purple tank top, red and white joggers and a
black "Holden" cap.

Her family, who lives in the Townsville suburb of Kirwan, told police the girl could
be trying to travel south to Bendigo but that her disappearance was out of character.

Anyone who may have seen Patricia or know of her whereabouts is asked to call Townsville
Police on 4759 9871 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
