The Monkey's Uncle (1965) U

The monkey's uncle of the title is Merlin, a hotshot college kid (Tommy Kirk) who designs a flying machine and is the owner of a chimp named Stanley. Disney pic co-starring former teen star Annette Funicello and featuring an appearance by The Beach Boys.

Hot Enough For June (1964) PG

Dirk Bogarde stars in this espionage spoof that follows the obvious nods to James Bond, as Bogarde's lazy writer is mistaken for 007's replacement in Prague. While he may actually be a bit of a layabout, he proves to be a surprisingly effective spy.

The Accidental Tourist (1988) PG

6.35PM, TCM ****

Charming romantic drama, beautifully adapted from Anne Tyler's popular novel. Oscar-winner Geena Davis stars as the quirky dog trainer helping uptight William Hurt get his life back on track after a series of disasters.

Superman Returns (2006) 12

9PM, SKY ACTION ***

Steady on ladies! Christopher Reeve lookalike Brandon Routh (above) is the Man of Steel in Bryan Singer's wallet-popping re-envisioning. After searching for Krypton, Superman returns to Earth - only to find he's yesterday's news.

Untraceable (2008) 18

9.30PM, TV3 ***

The dark-side-of-the-internet genre meets a serial-killer thriller, with Diane Lane and Colin Hanks as FBI agents on the trail of a seemingly 'untraceable' internet killer. You'll need a strong stomach to make it to the end.

The Human Stain (2003) 18

11.35PM, BBC1 ***

Anthony Hopkins (right) is the disgraced college professor who has to work hard to conceal a secret from his past in this drama, based on the novel by Philip Roth. Gary Sinise and Nicole Kidman co-star in a film hamstrung by comparison to the source novel.
