Vic: Three trucks stolen in council heist

Nearly 500 thousand dollars worth of trucks and equipment has been stolen from a suburban
council in Melbourne.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the theft of three trucks .. mowers .. chainsaws
and other equipment from the Glen Eira City Council depot .. in Melbourne's south-east.

It's believed the theft happened between 6 pm yesterday and 6 am today at the council's
Caulfield North depot.

Police say they're hopeful of a quick arrest .. because the equipment's easily identifiable
because of council's logos.
