THE MASTERPLAN which would see Sewerby Hall and gardens transformed into a tourist attraction that will survive for years to come is slowly taking shape.

A draft plan to safeguard the hall as an attraction was drawn up by consultants working for East Riding of Yorkshire Council and aired earlier this year.

Some of its proposals, including large open air amphitheatres and performance areas, holiday cottage developments and new car parks raised concern among residents, and from English Heritage.
