NSW: Protestors picket Kirribilli House

Protesters have picketed the Prime Minister's Sydney residence, Kirribilli House, over
Australian policy on Indonesia in the lead-up to the August 30 independence referendum in East
Timor.

The protesters -- from the Action in Solidarity with Indonesia and East Timor group (ASIET)
-- are calling for an end to what they say is Australian military support of the Indonesian
army.

About 35 pro-East Timorese independence supporters also hung white crosses from street
signs, signifying the deaths of an estimated 200,000 East Timorese since 1975.
