QLD:Cars submerged after SEQ storm

BRISBANE, Feb 22 AAP - A family had to be rescued from their submerged vehicle after
a severe storm caused flash floods in southeast Queensland.

Emergency services and energy crews were kept busy throughout Monday night in areas
such as the Lockyer Valley that's still reeling from unprecedented flooding last month
which claimed lives.

A swift water rescue team plucked a family from a submerged car in the inner-Brisbane
suburb of Bowen Hills around 6.45pm (AEST).

No one was injured.
